RULES OF THE ROAD OF MONGOLIA
12. Passing through intersections
12.1. Every driver turning to the right or left on an intersection should give way to pedestrians crossing the road through pedestrian crossings and cyclists running on cycle tracks.
12.2. It is prohibited to enter into an intersection when it is congested and it is likely to stop own vehicle in a way obstructing the traffic of vehicles coming from the crossing roads.
12.3. Regulated intersections are intersections where the traffic order is defined by traffic light signals or authorized officials signals.
Passing through regulated intersections
12.4. During turning to the left or making a U-turn on the green light, drivers should give way to oncoming vehicles moving directly or turning to the right.
12.5. Drivers moving with the additional signal switched on together with the red or yellow light should give way to vehicles coming from other directions.
12.6. While making a U-turn following the signal of the authorized official, drivers should give way to vehicles turning to the right from the road on their left-hand side.
12.7. When a permitting light signal switches on, drivers should give way to vehicles ending their actions of passing through the intersection and pedestrians still crossing the carriageway (if there is a safety zone, then to pedestrians already passed or not yet reached it).
Passing through not regulated intersections
12.8. In case of intersections of roads of the same priority, drivers should give way to vehicles approaching from the right-hand side.
12.9. In case of intersections of roads of not the same priority, drivers on the secondary road should give way to vehicles using the priority road.
12.10. While turning to the left or making a U-turn, drivers, after entering into the intersection, should give way to oncoming vehicles moving directly or turning to the right from the road of the same priority.
12.11. If the priority road changes its direction on the intersection, drivers using that road should follow between each other the rules applied for passing through the intersection of roads of the same priority. Drivers using the secondary road should follow between each other this provision also.
12.12. If there are no traffic signs defining the traffic order and drivers cannot define the condition of the carriageway surface (because of darkness, fog, snow blanket, dirt, etc.), drivers should consider that they are driving on a secondary road.
