RULES OF THE ROAD OF MONGOLIA

20. Drawing of power-driven vehicles

20.1.  Power-driven vehicles are drawn being safely connected with the use of flexible or rigid couplings or with their front part loaded on the drawing vehicles. The vehicles drawing power-driven vehicles should use passing lamps while participating in traffic.

Pulled power-driven vehicles should use warning signals according to the provisions of 6.2.д and 6.3.г of these rules.

20.2.  If the vehicle pulled with the use of a rigid coupling is connected in a way not following the tracks of the vehicle drawing in a direct direction or a flexible coupling is used, the pulled vehicle should be driven by a driver having the driver license.

20.3.  When a rigid coupling is used for drawing, the distance between the vehicles should not be more than 4 m. Steering mechanisms of vehicles to be pulled with the use of rigid couplings should be fully operable.

20.4.  When a flexible coupling is used for drawing, the distance between the vehicles should be 4-6 m and red flags should be fixed on the coupling with the interval of 1 m. Braking systems, steering mechanisms and audible warning devices of vehicles to be pulled with the use of flexible couplings should be fully operable.

20.5.  It is prohibited to transport passengers by buses and trolley-buses or on the bodies of goods vehicles drawing power-driven vehicles as well as by pulled power-driven vehicles.

20.6.  Drawing of power-driven vehicles is prohibited in the following cases:

а/   drawing with the use of vehicles coupled with trailers;

б/   drawing of two or more power-driven vehicles;

в/   drawing by two-wheeled motorcycles or drawing two-wheeled motorcycles;

г/    drawing with the use of flexible couplings on slippery or mountain roads;

д/   if the actual mass of the vehicle to be pulled is more than that of the vehicle to pull;

е/   if the carriageway on a mountain road is covered with ice.
